Watched The Wind Rises yesterday as I was home sick. Plenty of great airplane and engine animation, a beautiful love story and all the sound effects are done using human voices.

when watching the movie, I was trying to determine if the human made engine noises were meant to indicate dreaming. anyway, I loved the movie.

yeah, I thought at first that some were human made and represented dreaming, and that others were recorded engines. but I think by the end everything was human made, or I was just wrong.
Just yet another fantastic ghibli movie.
beautiful motion of planes in flight is one of the reasons I love Porco Rosso so much.

Such a good movie, saw it in the theater with my wife, and definitely feel like it was money well spent.

That movie was so surprisingly different from all the rest of Miyazaki's. I'm so sad he retired.
